Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance, EU Region to lead and strengthen our financial operations across Europe. Based in Frankfurt and reporting directly to the Group CFO, this role will oversee all regional financial activities, drive business performance, and ensure strong financial governance aligned with group objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in retail finance, multi-country operations, and cross-functional leadership, combined with a strong hands-on attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all financial operations for the EU region, including FP&A, accounting, tax, treasury, and compliance
Act as a strategic partner to the Group CFO and regional leadership teams
Develop and execute financial strategies to drive regional growth and profitability
Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across finance functions
Support M&A activities, new market entry, and business model innovation within the region
Lead and develop a high-performing regional finance team
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Commercial, Supply Chain, HR) to optimize financial outcomes
Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies in the region
Qualifications
~ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
~ CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is a strong advantage
~10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally within the retail or consumer goods sectors
~ Solid experience in managing multi-country finance operations within Europe
~ Strong knowledge of IFRS and European financial regulations
~ Proven track record of partnering with senior leadership and driving strategic initiatives
~ Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
~ Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong plus
~ Willingness to travel within Europe as required
