Within ZEISS Microoptics, we optimize glass and transparent plastic surfaces based on a patent-protected IP platform using micro-optical structures and holographic optical elements, enabling functionalities like lighting, projection, filtering, and detection.
Your role
Your responsibilities include developing, sharpening, leading, and executing go-to-market and business strategies to establish us as the sole provider of comprehensive holographic solutions as a market-shaping technology. Your key tasks are:
* Scaling the business significantly and securing a major part of the value chain
* Developing, supporting, and consulting key customers, and managing partnerships with customers, R&D partners, and suppliers
* Creating product roadmaps and proposing developments for automotive, consumer, home tech, and beyond, including deriving technology requirements
* Analyzing trends, assessing the competitive environment
* Planning and leading negotiations, including IP and complex partnership contracts
* Building and expanding the business development team for a fast-growing company aiming for hundreds of millions of Euros in revenue, focusing on leadership and development
* Contributing to ZEISS brand value by promoting this innovative technology
Your profile
* Several years of professional experience in leadership roles in business or corporate development, with a track record of building intercultural teams in SMEs
* Educational background in economics, engineering, or natural sciences
* Ability to understand advanced optics and holography technology for high-quality managerial decisions
* Industry exposure, especially in automotive, home tech, and consumer electronics
* Experience with executive management tools to deliver results and create value in a startup environment
* Strong commercial and customer-focused mindset to bring solutions to existing and new clients
* Skilled in complex negotiations in supplier and OEM contexts
* Hands-on attitude, structured, goal-oriented, and capable of interdisciplinary work with analytical rigor
* Proficiency in German and English (business fluent) and willingness to travel abroad
