We are currently supporting a rapidly growing organisation in the machinery wholesale space who have up to 40,000 packages leaving their central warehouse every day in a highly sophisticated and automated site. The organisation grew their total headcount by 12% last year with plans to open new a new site as early as next year to take advantage of the continued growth.
In this role as Senior Logistics Planner/Process Manager you will be joining a logistics function that boasts a total employee count of 900, and you will be an essential cog in the continued success of the organisation, taking ownership of the logistics planning function and packaging.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning of all necessary logistics processes.
* Development of warehouse concepts including design of the warehouse layout as well as taking ownership of material and information flows.
* Ensuring an efficient material flow from incoming goods through storage, outgoing goods to loading and any applicable cost-optimisation initiatives.
* Continuous improvement and implementation of change projects within the logistics function.
Key Skills:
* Good knowledge of logistics planning, process reengineering, material flow planning and automation, ideally also in lean management principles.
* Demonstrable experience in using WMS software.
* Strong knowledge in packaging and distribution.
* Fluent German skills - The daily working language will be in German.
