Executive Director of IT is a senior leader that oversees Performance Materials information technology strategy and operations. This individual partners with Performance Materials leadership to define and develop technology strategies to serve the business. Examples of this are ERP and sales enablement transformations. Additionally, this role operates well in a matrixed IT environment, helping ensure systems are stable, secure, and confidential within Performance Materials. This is done through coordination and partnership with Hillenbrand shared service and Coperion data protection teams. Innovation and continuous improvement are key aspects of this position, as this role is expected to drive IT and business process improvement through emerging technologies. Lastly, the Executive Director of IT oversees the Operating Company IT team in areas of ERP, Engineering, Sales Enablement support and development, and financial and compliance management. Key Responsibilities: Establishes and maintains a strategic relationship at appropriate level for key stakeholders Represents the business strategies and priorities to IT, and vice versa, ensuring both strategies are aligned and executed upon efficiently and effectively for IT Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of IT and the services provided by IT, and how IT solutions can support the achievement of short- and long-term business goals Keep up with technology trends and leverage innovative technology to improve efficiency, productivity, and enable growth Manage business demands; set priorities working with business leaders Work closely to oversee application teams for build and run, ensure priority is appropriately given to your area’s needs Has deep knowledge, and works with corporate teams in a matrixed organization, to support security, infrastructure, enterprise applications and general IT support needs Partner with business to evaluate, build business cases and implement new technologies such as Digital, Industry 4.0, IOT solutions, ERP, sales enablement Own IT operation and capital budget & Compliance, i.e. GDPR, SOX Leader of leaders – Team roles consist of directors, managers, regional site managers, project managers, business analysts and developers Skills & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business or a related field; MBA preferred Minimum of 15 years of internal/external IT experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, business analysis, consulting, process engineering or solutions management or other related area Experience successfully leading large, complex projects and/or in business/IT consulting/management roles Experience successfully implementing, leading and supporting Engineering and technical support teams (SolidWorks, AutoCad, Plant3D, etc.) Experience successfully implementing, leading and supporting ERP, CRM support and technical teams (SAP, IFS, Navision, Mapics, Salesforce Sales, Service and Field Service, etc.) Requires senior level leadership and negotiation skills and experience/in-depth knowledge of the business requirements analysis and IT processes International experience preferred; German and English language required Reporting Relationships: Role reports to : Solid reporting line to CIO and dotted reporting line to business executive leadership Reports for this role : Directors, managers, regional site managers, project managers, business analysts, developers and service management personnel LI-SC1 Who we are: Coperion is an industry leader in compounding and extrusion, feeding and weighing, bulk material handling and service, bringing a wealth of know-how and experience to the market.
