What you will do
1. Leading a modern Accounting team, striving to be a value adding function to the business (technical and disciplinary responsibility) .
2. Ensuring appropriate and efficient accounting processes in all sub-ledgers of the 3 German entities .
3. Ensuring local tax compliance in close co-ordination with our Group Tax Manager and our local tax advisors .
4. Coordinate the timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements together with the team.
5. Be the main contact person for our auditors .
6. Coordination of tasks related to tax audits.
7. Cash Management, organization of the regular payment run and administration of bank accounts (set-up, accesses, authorizations, etc.)
What you should bring
8. Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
9. First experience in leading accounting teams and strong leadership and team management abilities.
10. In-depth knowledge of national and international accounting standards (IFRS, German GAAP).
11. Experience with German and international tax regulations and compliance requirements.
12. Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and conducting tax audits.
13. Knowledge of cash management organization and bank account management.
14. Focused on process management, including the ability to streamline and optimize accounting and tax processes.
15. Confident and proficient in using ERP systems, with no hesitation in navigating and utilizing their accounting modules.
16. Effective communication skills with various stakeholders, including auditors and tax authorities.
17. Detail-oriented with high problem-solving skills.
18. High self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
19. Proficient in English, both written and spoken; German language skills are a plus.
