Job Description
As a (Junior) Quantitative Trader, you will immerse yourself in the fast-paced environment of equity trading on Scalable Capital's market making desk. You will collaborate with seasoned traders and (quantitative) financial engineers, deepening your understanding of market dynamics, algorithmic trading strategies, and risk management.
2. Become a market maker for equities, ETFs (equity and fixed income), and other ETPs, providing liquidity and facilitating efficient trading on the European Investor Exchange (EIX)
3. Design, backtest and implement trading algorithms to enhance quoting and execution strategies, and adapt to changing market conditions
4. Analyze market data and other large datasets
5. Leverage your programming skills to automate data processing and enhance data visualization
6. Support the development and optimization of trading systems, enhancing efficiency and robustness
7. Assist in optimizing treasury and liquidity management to ensure effective cash flow, funding strategies, and risk mitigation
8. Understand and apply risk management practices and ensure regulatory compliance
9. Work closely with quantitative engineers, developers, and seasoned traders
Qualifications
10. University degree, preferably in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related
11. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL, with experience using data analysis tools and libraries (such as Pandas and NumPy)
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets)
13. Demonstrable interest in financial markets, trading, and investment strategies
14. Ability to deliver under pressure with excellent analytical skills in a fast-paced environment
15. A collaborative problem-solver with attention to detail, along with strong communication and teamwork skills
16. Fluent in English
