We are building a future-focused Talent Development function to define the workplace of tomorrow within our global, remote-first open source software company. This is an opportunity for a leader with outstanding skills to develop our Talent Development team, enhancing leadership and people management practices across our remote organization of over 1,200 colleagues in 75+ countries.
Our focus is on understanding and improving remote work effectiveness through research, training, policies, and mechanisms that promote consistent behaviors. We aim to invest in analytics, tooling, and training to elevate remote collaboration and leadership standards. The role is part of our People function, which includes organizational psychologists, engineers, analytics experts, and employee relations specialists, all working globally to clarify and evolve our organizational culture.
Location: This role is remote within the EMEA region.
The role entails:
1. Define and implement an inspiring talent development program
2. Develop and embed management and leadership development initiatives
3. Design and deliver core training programs, collaborating with vendors as needed
4. Create leadership performance indicators and metrics
5. Manage our leadership skills matrix for performance, talent assessment, succession, mentorship, and career development
6. Establish a global learning framework for training and career growth
7. Build and lead a team of Talent Development specialists
8. Use data to analyze trends and strategize career development frameworks
9. Manage the learning budget to maximize impact
What we are looking for in you:
1. Strong academic background from high school onwards
2. Experience in remote management within a tech company
3. Insight into high-performing team practices
4. Ability to create and lead strategic initiatives and change management
5. Business acumen with strategic and execution skills
6. Data-driven decision-making and measurement experience
7. People management experience and budget responsibility
8. Willingness to travel up to 4 times annually for internal events
