Our mission is to analyze technical and commercial levers across all project areas to continuously reduce the Cost of Energy (COE) and maximize the overall value for Nordex and our customers.
As a Senior Expert – Project Optimization (m/f/d), your primary objective will be to identify and drive product improvements, particularly in large customer deals, while ensuring that technical solutions are delivered on time for critical project milestones. With your expertise in the wind industry, you will guide colleagues towards best practices and innovative solutions. You will report directly to the Director of Project Optimization.
Your Tasks:
1. Utilize your technical expertise and commercial understanding to optimize projects from a total value and Cost of Energy (COE) perspective, both internally and in customer workshops.
2. Conduct in-depth analytical assessments to optimize projects and enhance Nordex’s profitability (commercial analytics, financial analysis, etc.).
3. Ensure that all project requirements are clearly defined, and that new optimization ideas are efficiently evaluated and implemented within the organization, while driving continuous process improvement.
4. Represent Project Optimization in strategic discussions within Product Strategy and provide senior management with insights on winning strategies for key markets and high-priority deals.
5. Assess the competitiveness of Nordex products and deliver market expertise and commercial insights to support the development of new products within Product Strategy.
Your Profile:
6. University degree in Engineering (. or equivalent) or a Business/Economics degree with a strong technical background.
7. 5–10 years of experience in product management, product development, project development, or technical sales, ideally within the wind energy industry or a large international company.
8. Strong ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across a global organization.
9. Highly analytical and strategic, with a holistic approach and strong problem-solving skills.
10. Self-driven with a proven ability to drive topics to success in complex environments.
11. Fluent in English; knowledge of Spanish and German is a plus.
