Your missionHere at Wandelbots we want to accelerate the development of robotic applications for any articulated robot imaginable. As a Simulation Expert, you will help us simulate robot behaviors, workspaces, and automation processes to ensure safe and efficient deployment of our solutions. You will play a key role in building and integrating simulation capabilities into our software platform.Your Responsibilities:Develop, integrate, and maintain realistic simulations of robotic systems and work cellsBuild 3D models of robots, end-effectors, and workspaces using simulation tools (e.g., NVIDIA Omniverse & Isaac Sim, Blender, ProcessSimulate, Gazebo, etc.)Collaborate with robotics engineers and software developers to integrate simulation results into our product ecosystemSupport validation, testing, and optimization of robot motions and behaviors in simulated environmentsWork on the creation of digital twins and virtual commissioning setupsResearch and implement state-of-the-art simulation algorithms for kinematics, dynamics, and collision detectionContinuously improve simulation realism, performance, and accuracyParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and knowledge sharing sessionsYour profileBachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experienceSeveral years of professional experience in robotics simulation, digital twins, or virtual environmentsHands-on experience with one or more leading simulation frameworks (preferably NVIDIA Omniverse & Isaac Sim, but also Blender, ProcessSimulate, Gazebo, or similar)Solid understanding of kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and collision detectionStrong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, C++, .NetFamiliarity with real-time simulation and physics enginesKnowledge of robot control systems and articulated robot behaviorExperience with version control systems like GitProactive, self-driven personality with strong problem-solving skillsFluent in English (German is a plus)Awesome if you have:Previous experience with industrial robots and automation systemsKnowledge of ROS / ROS2 and integration with simulation environmentsExperience with cloud-based simulation platforms and rendering pipelinesFamiliarity with machine learning applications in simulation or roboticsExperience with 3D modeling, rendering, and scene setupWhy us?Make an impact!Work on an innovative, deep tech product that adds value to the robotics world and to society!
