Your tasks
For our client Airbus Aerostructures GmbH in Augsburg, we are seeking a qualified Structure Design Engineer - Approve (m/f/d) on a temporary staffing basis. In this responsible role as a designer of aerospace structures, you will be responsible for the design and approval of metal, composite, and hybrid components. 9. Development and design of metal, composite and hybrid components, taking into account weight and cost targets.
10. Ensuring compliance with technical requirements and the manufacturability of the designs
11. Creation and approval of design documents and technical drawings (Approve function)
12. Management and coordination of the activities of engineering partners and suppliers
13. Close collaboration in multifunctional teams (structural analysis, manufacturing, programming, configuration management and systems)
14. Actively seeking opportunities for process improvement through digitalization and automation
Your profile
15. Completed studies in the field of aerospace engineering or a comparable technical degree (at least Bachelor's)
16. Extensive professional experience (over 5 years) as a Design Engineer in the aerospace industry
17. Extensive experience and sound knowledge of the development process in the aviation industry are absolutely essential.
18. Proficient use of Catia V5 (knowledge of detailed functions); VPM experience is a significant advantage.
19. Knowledge of Airbus-specific tools such as PASS SSCI, VPM, APS or ICC-ACP is desirable.
20. Basic understanding of design principles for metal, composite and hybrid structures
21. Fluent German and English skills
22. A high degree of independence, a problem-solving mindset, and experience in stakeholder management.
