Dartmouth Partners is working with a growing Private equity firm to find a Financial Controller for their Frankfurt office.
As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the firm and its investment entities. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Finance Director, with responsibility for financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and supporting the firm’s investment and portfolio activities.
Oversee and manage all financial accounting and reporting for the management company and investment vehicles.
Prepare consolidated financial statements, management accounts, and investor reporting packs.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g. Manage fund-level accounting, including capital calls, distributions, and fee calculations.
Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators.
Monitor cash flow and liquidity across entities, including forecasting and treasury management.
Improve financial controls, systems, and processes to support scale and efficiency.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for both the firm and funds.
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), ideally Big 4 trained.
~Strong technical accounting and fund reporting skills.
~ Hands-on and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
~ Knowledge of fund structures, carried interest, and investor reporting.
