Role : Senior Solar PV and BESS Project Manager (Construction) Language : German (At least C1)
Our client has been active in the development, implementation, and operation of PV systems in Germany since 2000, with roots dating back to the 1990s. They expanded into Spain in 2006 and Africa (Mauritius) in 2013, successfully implementing over 500 solar systems across Germany, Spain, and Africa.
With the establishment of their new holding company, they are now seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the development and execution of their battery storage pipeline across Europe.
Project Execution Oversight:
Take ownership of projects after handover from the Business Development team.
Oversee the execution of EPC projects (Solar PV and BESS) in Germany, ensuring alignment with contractual scope, budget, and schedule.
Monitor portfolio performance and manage dependencies and escalations between projects.
Coordinate with internal departments including Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Legal, and Construction to ensure seamless project execution.
Ensure proper handovers and alignment between departments involved in the project lifecycle.
Validate contract compliance and adherence to technical and legal standards during execution.
Quality, Risk, and Schedule Management:
Ensure all projects meet the highest standards of quality, health & safety, and technical compliance.
Identify and mitigate project risks strategically and support project managers in resolving critical operational issues.
Track performance metrics (KPIs) and lead project meetings with internal stakeholders.
Report project status and outcomes to senior management.
Minimum of 5 years managing PV or BESS projects in the utility-scale EPC sector.
Proven track record of managing multiple complex construction projects simultaneously in Germany.
Strong experience in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards in dynamic environments.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA) and/or an MBA are advantageous.
Willingness to travel frequently between project sites.
Fluent in German (minimum C1 level) is required.
