Your tasks
7. Preparation, execution and evaluation of numerical flow simulations (CFD) in the field of hydraulic machines
8. Focus on improving the quality of an existing, structured in-house meshing system for turbomachinery blades
9. Identification of weak points in the meshing process and improvement in terms of functionality, stability and quality
10. Application of numerical optimization and modification of the mesher code taking geometry information into account
11. Comparison of the mesh quality of the in-house mesher with commercial alternatives
12. Interdisciplinary collaboration with experts in simulation, measurement technology and hydraulic design
Your profile
13. Academic degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computational engineering or a comparable field of study
14. Relevant experience with the structured meshing of turbomachinery blades
15. Sound knowledge in the application of flow solvers, ideally ANSYS CFX
16. Confident handling of a programming language (preferably C++) and ideally experience with AutoGrid or TurboGrid
17. Knowledge of CGNS and/or B-Spline libraries is a distinct advantage
18. Business fluent in English (C2 level); knowledge of German is an advantage
19. Structured, goal-oriented way of working and strong ability to work in a team
