Roles and Responsibilities:
Racking and stacking of systems like servers in the Data CenterManaging of decommissioning of IT equipmentAssessment and solving of hardware failuresSAN cabling and racking of related equipment etc.Server hardware and related software 3rd level support using e.g. CIMC, iDRAC, UCSM, Putty, KVM, Command, SNOW, …Test, analysis and supply of new server hardware and related softwareEscalation management to external suppliers for the area of server and memory hardwareHandling and solving of incidents and problems of the Data Center monitoring systems like high temperature, battery failure of UPS, …Supplying training for access to Data Center facilities and issuing of master cardsAccompanying of third-party access to the Data CenterPreparing and signing the qualification of Data Centers and its reviews according to Boehringer Ingelheim SOPsParticipation in Disaster Recovery Tests in Ingelheim, Biberach and Vienna including its preparation and taking care of onsite activities related to it. Disaster Recovery Tests normally take place once a year per site during the weekend.Responsible to make sure Data Center is in a proper state and fulfills the Data Center qualification requirements.
