🎯About the role
This is not your typical Chief of Staff role. This is a high-leverage role focused on turning strategy into execution. You are the person the CEO turns to when a topic is business-critical, cross-functional and requires a single owner to drive it forward. You bring structure to complexity, alignment to competing priorities and accountability to execution. Your success is measured by the speed and quality with which the company makes decisions and delivers results. For the right person, this role provides a unique opportunity to grow into broader leadership responsibility and shape the future of the company.
🧭 Your Mandate
You operate with the explicit mandate of the CEO. In practice, this means:
* You can challenge priorities, assumptions and decisions across all functions
* You can bring the right stakeholders together and drive decisions to closure
* You can define ownership, timelines and follow-up mechanisms for company-critical initiatives
* You can hold leaders accountable for commitments and agreed outcomes
* You can escalate unresolved issues directly to the CEO when necessary
You do not manage individual functions or replace their leaders.
👉 The Chief of Staff does not lead through hierarchy. The Chief of Staff leads through mandate, alignment and execution.
👉 Priorities set by the Chief of Staff are to be treated with the same level of importance and urgency as if they came directly from the CEO.
💼 Your Key Responsibilities
You work directly with the CEO on the company’s most important priorities. Your focus: Execution.
In particular, you will drive:
* Strategic Clarity: Translate company strategy into clear priorities, ownership and measurable outcomes.
* Decision Velocity: Build and run an operating system that enables fast, high-quality decisions and execution across the company.
* C-Level Alignment & Accountability: Align the leadership team around shared priorities, drive accountability and resolve cross-functional conflicts before they become bottlenecks.
* Cross-Functional Execution: Lead initiatives that do not clearly belong to a single function and ensure critical company priorities are executed across Product, GTM and Operations.
* AI Transformation: Ensure the execution of vialytics' AI transformation and its measurable business impact.
* Company Operating System: Design and continuously improve the management processes, operating cadences, decision frameworks and transparency mechanisms that enable the company to scale.
* CEO Leverage: Take ownership of critical company-wide initiatives, drive decisions to closure and remove the CEO as a bottleneck for execution.
You translate priorities into concrete initiatives, create clarity around ownership, and drive critical initiatives to completion - with clear backing from the CEO.
🌟 We would be the perfect match if you
* Bring 7+ years of experience in high-growth SaaS, tech or scale-up environments, ideally in Series B+ companies
* Have worked closely with founders, CEOs or executive teams in roles such as Chief of Staff, Founder’s Associate, Strategy & Operations, Business Operations or top-tier consulting
* Have successfully led complex cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact
* Have built or scaled company-wide operating systems, such as OKRs, planning processes, executive reviews or management cadences
* Are able to create alignment, drive accountability and influence senior stakeholders without relying on formal authority
* Combine strategic thinking with exceptional execution and a strong bias for action
* Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with ambiguity, change and ambitious goals
* Communicate clearly, directly and credibly with stakeholders at all levels
* Speak and write English fluently (German is a plus)
