As Business Development Director, you will lead account development, create winning proposals, and design and execute growth strategies that open new market opportunities for Kintiga across Europe. By overseeing client relationships and driving commercial excellence, you will ensure successful launches and reimbursement for innovative health technologies. Your role will directly impact Kintiga’s revenue growth and strengthen our position as a leader in pan-European market access consulting.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Director with strong expertise in Market Access and Pricing to drive revenue growth and strategic partnerships across Europe, especially the DACH region. This key leadership role involves managing client relationships, leading account development, executing growth strategies, identifying new market opportunities, and delivering impactful proposals and presentations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in German and English, deep knowledge of the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, and a strong understanding of HTA requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

* Drive business development, proposal management, and client relationship building
* Define portfolio vision, drive innovation pipeline, and align strategies across geographies
* Advise key accounts and guide high-impact partnerships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships
* Translate market trends into actionable insights for proposal development
* Steer corporate development projects: market analyses, competitive intelligence, and industry best practices to shape targeted go-to-market strategies and product innovation
* Stay up to date with HTA and regulatory changes and advancements in the pharmaceutical industry
* External thought leadership representation at international conferences and associations
* Champion Kintiga values, mission and vision and foster a entrepreneurial, collaborative, high-performance team culture
* Serve as Strategic Lead & Product Owner for key German Market Access by driving market access and pricing strategies.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

Business Development

* Commercial development of new accounts including client targeting, account strategy, and identifying and progressing opportunities
* Collaborate with Marketing and Technical Delivery teams to identify and pursue new and current client business opportunities
* Engage with clients to understand their needs, address their questions, and gather feedback on proposals
* Working with BD Operations, Project Managers, and Delivery Lead for the proposal development, including project scoping and pricing
* In partnership with Marketing, technical experts and project teams, develop and deliver pitch presentations
* Identify opportunities to conduct webinars and presentations to increase Kintiga profile and standing in the sector
* Attend targeted industry conferences to further develop relationships and identify leads
* In conjunction with Delivery Leads, identify opportunities for organic growth within existing client accounts
* Oversee the successful execution of new client coordination, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
* Anticipate and address any issues or challenges that may arise during scoping and proposal process
* Potential billable work focussed on commercial strategy and early access, based on client needs, experience, and expertise.

Strategic Planning

* Work with senior leadership to support and execute strategic plans and objectives for client accounts, tracking new markets and emerging trends, recommending new products and services, proposing and developing new strategic partnerships
* Provide input and insights into the development of company-wide strategies to drive growth and profitability
* Develop and manage account budgets, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness
* Monitor financial performance against targets and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Oversee cultural development: Embed partnership mindset into organisational culture and strategy, build relationships to external collaborators.
* Champion the Kintiga values, act as a role model.

Education & Qualifications:

* At least Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Communications, or a related field with significant experience and expertise in Market Access.
* Proficiency in in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Advanced skills in CRM & project management
* Affinity for technical advancements & data tools
* Advanced Degree in a relevant field (preferred)

Experience:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, market access, technical lead, or similar, within the European pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, preferably in a consulting organisation.
* Strong understanding of the European pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, including medical, regulatory and market access landscapes.

Skills & Talents:

* Networking & relationship building skills with strong connections in relevant industries
* Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships, driving business growth, and meeting revenue targets
* Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels, internally and externally
* Strong financial acumen to ensure proposals are financially viable
* Excellent organisational and agile project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Strategic mindset and analytic & problem-solving thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies
* Thought leadership and opinion leader in market access and beyond
* Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, compelling proposal content
* Affinity for technical advancements and digital health
* Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Hybrid with Office in Hannover, Lower Saxony: Regular in-person presence at the office. Occasional travel to other company locations and clients across Europe is required.
