You will be part of a young and dynamic research and development team with responsibilities from day one with great freedom to manage your projects in a fast-paced environment. We specialize in Solar Panel Cleaning Robots that significantly increase the efficiency of their installations.
We design and build autonomous cleaning robots, combining advanced robotics, automation, and embedded systems. Our robots operate in real-world industrial environments, and we are expanding our team to ensure top-level customer support and reliability across hardware and software.
Your role
We are looking for a hands-on and versatile automation engineer (C++ / ROS) with strong technical intuition. You will help the team on software / electronic hardware development, optimization and test. You can travel worldwide, Detect and analyze issues (hardware vs software) quickly and efficiently, contribute to continuous improvements of system performance, costs and production process of our cleaning robots deployed worldwide.
Your role goes beyond software: you will support testing and deployment, improve update systems, contribute to hardware enhancements (sensors, actuators). You will also participate in field operations, including international travel. (up to 20% time)
This position requires strong multitasking abilities, adaptability, and a hands-on mindset. You are technically sharp, pragmatic.
Required Skills
Must-have:
Strong experience in C++, Python and ROS (Robot Operating System)
Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems (development and deployment)
Hands-on experience with embedded systems and sensor integration, including GNSS, cameras, LiDAR, and other perception hardware
Ability to work with technical documentation, schematics, and system diagrams.
Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and willingness to learn
Strong hardware intuition: sensors, actuators, wiring, troubleshooting, mechanical vs software faults
Ability to travel to customer or field sites as required
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within cross-functional teams
English proficiency
Driver’s license
Nice-to-have:
Experience with industrial mobile machines or robotics systems
Good understanding of mechatronics systems
Familiarity with network protocols and wireless communication (Wi-Fi, cellular, etc.)
Basic understanding of JavaScript for front-end or UI-related tasks
Team management and organization
Experience with PLC programming, ideally with codesys
