About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join a rapidly growing international logistics and transportation company. Operating across multiple countries, the organization is currently expanding its European footprint and strengthening its governance, risk, and control framework.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior management, gain broad exposure to operational and corporate functions, and contribute to the development of a best-in-class internal audit function within a fast-paced environment.
Candidates from logistics, transportation, banking, financial services, FinTech, consulting, or other international organizations are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
* Plan and conduct risk-based audits across operational, financial, compliance, and corporate functions
* Evaluate internal controls, governance structures, and risk management processes
* Identify process inefficiencies and control gaps and provide practical recommendations
* Prepare audit reports and present findings to management stakeholders
* Monitor and follow up on audit recommendations and remediation plans
* Support the development and continuous improvement of audit methodologies and frameworks
* Collaborate with international teams across multiple locations and business functions
Requirements
* Several years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, or Internal Controls
* Experience gained within logistics, transportation, banking, financial services, consulting, FinTech, or other complex international organizations
* Strong understanding of governance, risk, and internal control frameworks
* Ability to independently manage audit assignments from planning through reporting
* Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Fluent English required; German and/or Mandarin would be an advantage
