On behalf of our client we are now looking for a Employee Relations Consultant. You will partner with leaders, HR, and legal stakeholders to manage complex employee relations matters across the Central Region, with a strong focus on Germany and Switzerland. The role includes case management, investigations, manager coaching, separation support, and participation in regional and international ER initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide ER support across the Central Region, primarily Germany and Switzerland.
* Advise on disciplinary actions, performance management, and employee terminations.
* Coach managers and employees on sensitive and complex workplace matters.
* Lead and support employee relations cases, grievances, and investigations.
* Partner with HRBPs, Legal, and Centers of Excellence on ER and employment law matters.
* Support reorganizations, M&A activities, and policy implementation.
* Manage employee separations, including settlement agreements.
* Support Works Council–related ER processes in Germany.
* Participate in regional and international ER projects.
Requirements
* Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
* Broad Employee Relations experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Expertise in German employment law; Swiss employment law knowledge preferred.
* Proven ability to manage conflict and drive practical solutions.
* Experience with reorganizations, M&A, investigations, and involuntary terminations.
* Ability to influence across functions and seniority levels.
* Comfort working in ambiguous, complex environments.
* Strong judgment, ethics, and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of and experience working with German Works Councils.
