As Senior Demand Planning Specialist (m/w)d), you will play a critical role in establishing and continuously improving the demand forecasting process within our German operations. You will serve as a key interface between Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain functions to ensure forecast accuracy, data transparency, and alignment with business objectives. This is a senior-level individual contributor role, focusing on facilitating cross-functional planning, coordinating inputs and outputs for the S&OP process, and maintaining a high standard of demand forecast quality – without personnel or functional leadership responsibilities. Your Key Responsibilities: Demand Forecasting & Analysis Build and maintain demand forecasts across all product types and flows (FG, intercompany, agency). Consolidate and disaggregate forecasts by brand, customer, and SKU. Integrate lifecycle events and product segmentation (e.g., ABC, phase-in/-out). Monitor forecast accuracy, identify root causes, and drive improvements. S&OP Process & Cross-Functional Alignment Lead the demand input for monthly S&OP meetings. Align forecast assumptions with Sales, Marketing, and Finance. Identify gaps and risks; present scenarios and mitigation plans. Document forecast drivers and deviations across S&OP cycles. Collaboration & Communication Run monthly forecast reviews and communicate updates to key stakeholders. Act as the main point of contact for demand planning topics. Coordinate demand handovers to Supply Planning and Procurement. Manage intercompany forecast exchange and regional alignment. Inventory Awareness & Short-Term Agility Track key inventory KPIs and flag stock-out/overstock risks. Support short-term capacity planning and scenario analyses. Ensure weekly signals are reflected operationally. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Report KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, service level, etc.) and post-event learnings. Enhance planning tools and methodologies (digital focus). Drive process standardization and forecasting excellence. Your Profile: Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. 5–7 years of demand planning experience, ideally in FMCG, food or chemical industries. Strong experience in S&OP and cross-functional planning. Proficient in Excel and confident with large data sets. ERP knowledge (Alphaplan, FuturMaster, SAP); Power BI is a plus. Strong analytical, structured, and proactive mindset. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in English; German strongly preferred.
