The main responsibility of the IT Support Technician is to provide onsite support for Warehouse Management System (WMS), operations and the associated hardware used in daily warehouse activities. This includes supporting system configuration, user access management, troubleshooting WMS‑related issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of devices such as RF scanners, tablets, label printers, mobile devices, and other OT equipment
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for fulfilling services which require physical onsite presence, assisting the remote support teams where required and acting as a liaison point for business colleagues.
Important for this position is professional communication, great customer service and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently with a high sense of urgency and result orientation is the key to success in the role.
Main Tasks
1. Primary responsibility for IT support with strong focus on the WMS
2. Ensure configuration updates and manage user access rights.
3. Monitor WMS performance and resolve technical issues in collaboration with IT teams.
4. Train users on the WMS and provide daily operational support to ensure optimal usage.
5. Work closely with operational teams to analyse requirements and propose functional improvements.
6. Participate in digital and logistics transformation initiatives as a WMS subject‑matter expert.
7. Act as a main on-site IT contact for all WMS-related topics
Who we look for
8. Strong knowledge of laptop setup, Ubuntu and Microsoft operating systems.
9. Solid desktop expertise with Ubuntu and modern managed devices.
10. Good understanding of common PC peripherals and warehouse OT equipment, including printers, mice, external drives, RF/Bluetooth scanners, tablets, vehicle‑mounted terminals, and label printers
11. Familiarity with connectivity technologies such as LAN, Wi‑Fi, and Bluetooth.
12. Good understanding of onsite IT infrastructure components.
13. Ability to manage and prioritise tasks within a working day
14. Strong ticket management and documentation skills
15. Efficient time management in a fast-paced environment
16. Excellent problem-solving skills.
17. Fluent English knowledge, German on communicative level
