This position is located at the USAG Rheinland-Pfalz, Baumholder Aquatics Center, Baumholder, Germany. This announcement has been extended to 30-June, with an initial cut-off of 16-June. Responsibilities Note: This is a training position for a certified Lifeguard. Works under close supervision wherein the work is closely reviewed/monitored and detailed guidance provided Must participate in all required training (emergency rescue drills, emergency action plan simulations). Mandatory certifications must be complete within 30 calendar days of employment. Upon completion of mandatory certifications, the incumbent will be noncompetitively reassigned to Recreation Aid (Lifeguard), PD 3206, responsible for lifeguarding guest in attendance at an assigned aquatic facility. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to swim and participate in the lifeguard certifications. Must be willing to obtain within 30 days and maintain the following certifications: Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED from a nationally recognized agency. All required certifications must be obtained within specified time and kept current. Work hours which may involve weekend, weekdays, holidays and night duty. Education There is no education requirement for this position.
