Take on the role of EHS Manager, where you'll lead essential safety initiatives on high-impact construction projects in Frankfurt, particularly within the data centre sector. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to apply your EHS expertise in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You’ll be responsible for creating and overseeing comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety strategies, ensuring compliance with both international and local standards, while driving a culture of continuous improvement and safety excellence across all project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
* Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments; recommend corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
* Provide expert guidance to management and employees on EHS matters and best practices
* Deliver safety training programs to enhance EHS awareness across teams.
* Lead incident and accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement preventive actions.
* Track and report EHS performance metrics; present findings and improvement plans to leadership.
* Stay updated on changes to local and international EHS regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.
* Perform regular compliance audits; address non-conformities and maintain thorough EHS records.
* Support and manage emergency response planning and conduct safety drills.
* Engage with EHS committees and liaise with regulatory bodies when needed.
Key Qualifications:
* Minimum of 7 years of EHS experience, ideally within Data Centre, Oil & Gas, or Construction sectors.
* Solid understanding of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
* Strong background in construction with a focus on EHS leadership.
* Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
* Proven success in developing and executing EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
* Skilled in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
* Strong communication and team management capabilities.
* Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO, or Certified Safety Professional are highly desirable.
Note: The daily rate for this role is €600–€700 (all inclusive), based on experience and qualifications.
