We are seeking a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) with immediate effect. Location will be Düsseldorf, Germany.
What you’ll do
1. Manage month-end and year-end closings per corporate guidelines and schedules.
2. Prepare and post all General Ledger entries, including assets, liabilities, accruals, deferrals, and payroll.
3. Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
4. Maintain the Fixed Assets Table, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
5. Coordinate with GBS (Global Business Service - Shared Service Centre) for GL entries, Fixed Assets, Bank entries and Accounts Payable.
6. Oversee Intercompany invoicing and netting processes.
7. Prepare account reconciliations according to corporate standards.
8. Prepare preliminary tax reports (monthly sales tax, EU reports) and liaise with tax advisors on annual tax declarations.
9. Support in Tax Audits
Who you are
10. Several years of accounting experience, with strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets knowledge.
11. Proficiency in statutory accounting (HGB) and international accounting standards.
12. Proven experience collaborating with auditors and tax advisors, managing external and internal financial reporting.
13. Excellent experience with SAP-ERP system.
14. Fluency in English and German, both verbally and written.
15. Strong understanding and commitment to internal controls and deadlines.
