Subsystems Engineer Mechanical Engineering (m / f / d)
Your Tasks
* Define andanalyze requirements for satellite / instrument structure design, consideringmission goals, environmental conditions, verification, AIT, and productassurance
* Developspacecraft and instrument configurations, optimizing the design of primary,secondary, and tertiary structures in collaboration with multiple engineeringteams
* Design andconstruct lightweight mechanical structures, optical mechanisms, roboticssubsystems, and opto-mechanical mounts, ensuring compliance with optical,structural, and thermal performance requirements.
* Integratesystem-level requirements (MTP / OMTS) into mechanical spacecraft / instrumentdesigns, including 3D harness routing
* Performstructural analysis, including gravity and moment of inertia calculations, anddefine structural masses
* Create andmaintain all technical documentation, including manufacturing drawings,integration envelopes, and interface requirement drawings (IRD) for subsystems
Your Qualifications
* Degree inMechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
* Professionalexperience in lightweight structures, differential, integral, and sandwichconstruction
* Strongproficiency in CAD software for mechanical design
* Well-organizedwith a proactive, team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills
* Highinitiative, cost awareness, and the ability to identify and mitigate technicalrisks early in the design process
* Convincingand self-assured, with a results-driven mindset
