SERVICENOW SPECIALIST - CMBD EXPERT
The main challenges we are facing are:
* Day after day, several custom fields have been added;
* The representation of links between Configuration Items (CIs) has never been formalized;
* We do not know the best practices for representing the "new" applications based on technologies such as Fabric, AI, etc.
Before investing in aligning processes to maintain this CMDB up to date, we would first like to clean and optimize the data model to follow best practices as closely as possible.
We are looking for a profile who is:
* A ServiceNow specialist, focused on CMDB management;
* Knowledgeable about best practices for the CMDB data model, including the relationships between CI types;
* Able to assess our current CMDB data model in order to eliminate unnecessary custom fields, either because: A native field already fulfills the same purpose, or the field does not appear to be used or useful based on current data;
* Capable of proposing an out-of-the-box, best practice–based data model;
* Able to define the optimal way to represent "new" applications (based on Fabric, AI, etc.), including the relationships to be established between these CIs.
Objective
The ultimate goal is to align with best practices rather than maintaining a specific or customized approach. At this stage, the mission would end once the assessment and recommendations are completed. Depending on the outcome, a second phase could follow to implement the proposed improvements.
