Job Description
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Working knowledge of a specific area of research, especially in the field of liquid food formulations
2. Planning and execution of experiments and technical tasks within a technology capability for a project workstream or workstreams with limited supervision
3. Development of technical work plans to achieve project goals established by the project business sponsor
4. Perform specialized and skilled tasks, data analysis and interpretation, documentation, good record-keeping
5. Implementing new technologies to improve project design and execution
6. Managing lab supplies and equipment
7. Generating and advancing new research ideas to project status through a phase-gated project management process
8. Actively participating in laboratory safety programs
9. Effectively communicate to internal technical and non-technical audiences through presentations and written reports
10. Sharing and continuing to develop technical expertise by serving as a subject matter expert for current tasks, developing new knowledge & skills to deliver on project objectives, assisting with skill development, mentoring/advising junior scientists, interfacing with colleagues/specialists on multidisciplinary and cross-organizational teams
Communication:
11. Technically-focused communications to project and group leaders within R&D and other departments
12. Prepare clear and concise presentations to audience with varied backgrounds
13. Writes scientific reports and registration documents as needed
Profile:
14. You have successfully completed a master's degree or PhD. in the field of food technology, process engineering, materials science or similar and have already gained professional experience preferably in the food industry, but also in the pharmaceutical or cosmetics industry
15. You have a passion for innovative solutions and are not afraid to go different ways
16. You are enthusiastic about innovations and trends and enjoy working in a solution- and implementation-oriented manner
17. You are a team player and enjoy working on projects, have high social skills, service orientation and strong communication skills
18. You have an independent, analytical and effective way of working
19. You feel comfortable in a dynamic, international environment and enjoy building partnerships, as well as cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration
20. You are familiar with the common IT programs and have a certain affinity for IT
21. You speak very good English and have a good knowledge of German and enjoy intercultural cooperation
