We are currently seeking a Data Governance Manager (all genders) – Global Data Platform / Data Mesh for Mediaplus Germany.
Was dich bei uns erwartet:
1. Development, alignment and implementation of data governance policies, standards and data product guidelines.
2. Ensuring globally consistent governance requirements as well as GDPR compliance (Privacy by Design, DPIA, Retention, Consent).
3. Translating strategic objectives into operational governance processes.
4. Establishing and monitoring key data quality KPIs and defining SLAs, quality gates and validation mechanisms.
5. Collaboration with domain teams, Legal, InfoSec and markets to ensure high data quality and fulfilment of regulatory requirements.
6. Building and maintaining a sustainable and auditable compliance framework.
7. Establishing a federated governance model (Domain Ownership, Data Stewardship, Data Contracts).
8. Coaching and enabling international domain teams and moderating global governance boards.
9. Building and maintaining the data catalog, business glossary and consistent metadata models.
10. Defining taxonomies, naming conventions, documentation standards and data lineage.
11. Implementing and maintaining data classification models (Public, Confidential, Restricted) and role/access concepts (RBAC/ABAC).
12. Conducting regular reviews and audits.
13. Creating and delivering trainings, playbooks and enablement formats.
14. Fostering a data‑as‑a‑product culture and an active global community.
15. Supporting the organisation in change management.
16. Further developing the governance roadmap, identifying process and tool improvements, and managing the reporting and monitoring of relevant governance metrics.
Was wir von dir erwarten:
17. Several years of experience in data governance on global data platforms.
18. Ability to translate strategic governance goals into actionable policies and processes.
19. Experience collaborating with international business, data and tech stakeholders.
20. Strong understanding of Data Mesh principles (Domain Ownership, Data Products, Self‑Service, Federated Governance).
21. Experience in establishing decentralized ownership and accountability structures.
22. Proficient in GDPR and relevant security/compliance frameworks.
23. Knowledge of data catalog/glossary solutions, data quality frameworks and lineage tools.
24. Understanding of modern cloud and data architectures (ideally Azure).
25. Basic knowledge of CI/CD for data, data modeling and access management concepts.
26. Strong facilitation skills for global committees and communities, and confident coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
27. Excellent English skills; German is a plus
