As Head of Accounting, you will own and evolve the entire accounting function, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and financial transparency. You will lead a small but growing team, oversee liquidity and cash management, and drive best-in‑class processes and systems. This role is ideal for an accounting leader who thrives in dynamic, high‑growth environments and has experience working in PE‑backed companies.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll‑related accounting, and monthly/year‑end close.
* Oversee liquidity planning, cash management, and treasury processes to ensure financial stability and strategic resource allocation.
* Ensure compliance with Swiss GAAP FER, German GAAP (HGB), and relevant regulatory requirements.
* Own consolidation, group reporting, and audit coordination.
* Optimize accounting processes and controls, leveraging DATEV, LucaNet, and other finance tools.
* Provide commercial financial leadership—support strategic decisions, pricing, cost structure analysis, and scenario planning in partnership with the CFO.
* Drive financial reporting improvements and automation across the company.
* Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements to management and Private Equity stakeholders.
* Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent is a strong plus.
* Proven experience (7+ years) in accounting leadership roles, ideally in high‑growth SaaS or technology environments.
* Mandatory experience working with Private Equity ownership, including reporting, KPIs, and governance expectations.
* Strong technical expertise in DATEV, LucaNet, and modern finance system environments.
* Deep understanding of Swiss GAAP FER and German GAAP (HGB).
* Demonstrated commercial mindset and ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
* Excellent liquidity and cash management skills.
* Strong leadership skills with a hands‑on mentality and a passion for building scalable finance processes.
* Fluency in English and German is required.
