The position is based in mathematical population genetics. It focuses on genealogical processes under various combinations of evolutionary forces such as mutation, selection and recombination. The position can either be filled with a postdoc (100 %) or a PhD student (75 %). Your Tasks
1. research on stochastic genetic processes (70 %)
2. collaboration in teaching to the extent of (25 %) (4 LVS for a full-time position / 3 LVS for a position of 75 %)
3. participation in the organisational and administrative tasks of the group (5 %)

4. salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L
5. fixed-term for 3 years (§ 2 (1) sentence 1 or 2 of the WissZeitVG; in accordance with the provisions of the WissZeitVG and the Agreement on Satisfactory Conditions of Employment, the length of the contract may differ in individual cases)
6. fulltime/part-time - full-time in the case of a postdoc, otherwise 75 % part-time

Your Profile We expect
12. completed scientific university degree (e. g. Master) in mathematics, biomathematics, or mathematical statistical physics
