A Day in the Life
Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team members are seasoned professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain, as well as breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. They partner with hospital management teams and payers to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and optimize operations.
The Turn-Key department, as one of the Capability of Integrated Health Solutions, deriving from the merger of two divisions – Design & Construction and Managed Equipment Services – oversees the Design, Construction, Equipment and Maintenance of hospital clinical departments with high complexity equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology.
The Position: Manage equipment setup, procurement, installation, and maintenance for core hospital departments (CathLabs, ORs, ICUs, CCUs, etc.) within IHS Turn-Key projects. Collaborate with architects, Medtronic teams, customers, and stakeholders to deliver state-of-the-art hospital departments and ensure ongoing high-quality clinical care. Support business development when required.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
1. Project Management: Plan, manage, and oversee equipment projects from assessment to ongoing maintenance. Ensure quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
2. Collaboration: Work with commercial teams, hospital stakeholders, and vendors to optimize equipment planning. Support tender and proposal preparation.
3. Site Assessment & Planning: Conduct audits, develop equipment strategies, maintenance plans, and service level agreements. Identify clinical/financial risks and improvement opportunities.
4. Procurement & Installation: Manage supplier selection, procurement, installation, testing, and training. Ensure smooth deployment and operational readiness of equipment.
5. Maintenance & Support: Oversee preventive/corrective maintenance, asset management, and service performance reporting across EMEA.
6. Decommissioning & Disposal: Support end-of-life management, re-marketing, or disposal of equipment.
7. Professional Standards: Maintain high standards of professionalism, client service, and project execution.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
8. Degree in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent; professional board registration desirable.
9. 5+ years in hospital equipment planning, procurement, installation, and maintenance; CathLabs/OR experience required.
10. Experience in turnkey hospital projects, capital equipment assessment, and lifecycle management.
11. Project management experience with budget, scope, schedule, and resource oversight.
12. Strong project, client, and vendor management skills.
13. Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
14. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
15. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; multicultural sensitivity.
16. Software: MS Office, MS Project.
17. Independent, self-starter with strong customer focus.
18. Business level German and English language skills
Fluency in any other European language or in Arabic is a plus.
