Scientific Research Associate Job Description
The role of a Scientific Research Associate in our team involves working in the Legal Medicine department, Forensic Toxicology service at the Laboratoire National de Santé.
* Data Collection and Sample Preparation: The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation and extraction of human biological samples (mainly blood, plasma/serum, urine, and hair);
* Analysis Techniques: Perform analyses using various techniques such as immunoassay, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, HS-GC-MS, HPLC-UV, LC-MS/MS, and LC-HRMS;
* Maintenance and Quality Control: Perform maintenance and periodic checks on laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure optimal performance;
* Method Development and Optimization: Develop and optimize analytical methods to meet the requirements of our department;
* Inventory Management and Teamwork: Participate in the team's efforts for management of stocks of reagents, consumables, and samples, ensuring seamless workflow;
* Quality Assurance: Contribute to the ISO 17025 quality management system to maintain high standards in our laboratory.
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a diploma in laboratory science or laboratory technician and proficiency in French and good professional English skills. Knowledge of German or Luxemburgish would be an asset.
