The Role: As our
Relocation Services Assistant, you are the bridge between a student’s home country and their new life in Munich. You will provide critical advisory and administrative support to the Admissions Team Lead and the Head of the International Office. Your mission is to simplify the complexities of German bureaucracy, ensuring our international students have a seamless transition through expert visa and residence permit guidance.
Student Advisory & Relocation Support Expert Guidance:
Act as the primary point of contact for prospective and current international students regarding German visas and residence permits. Navigational Support:
Consult students on local registration ( Anmeldung ), health insurance, and essential administrative formalities in Munich. Onboarding:
Provide in-office consultations to ensure students feel supported from the moment they arrive.
Operational Excellence & Compliance Process Management:
Monitor and track the lifecycle of visa applications, ensuring all documentation aligns with current German governmental requirements. Record Keeping:
Maintain high-precision data within our CRM and internal databases to ensure real-time accuracy of student statuses. Documentation:
Prepare, organize, and audit student files and application forms following strict internal procedures. Reporting:
Generate insightful reports on visa statuses and relocation progress to keep leadership informed.
About you: To thrive in this role, you should possess a blend of administrative precision and a "people-first" mindset, as well as:
Education:
University degree (Bachelor’s). Languages:
Full professional proficiency in
German & English
(written and verbal). Additional languages are a significant advantage. Digital Literacy:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems. Core Competencies:
A structured, independent work style with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Soft Skills:
A friendly, empathetic, and professional demeanor, especially when communicating with students and their families. Local Expertise:
A strong knowledge of the city of Munich to provide authentic local advice. A Plus: Prior experience navigating German visa and residence permit processes.
