To support our German Team we are currently looking for a
Senior Financial & Tax Compliance Specialist (m/f/d)
for the GBA Region (Germany, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands)
As part of our international finance team, you will take ownership of financial and tax compliance across the GBA region. You will ensure accurate reporting, lead statutory processes, and support continuous improvement in alignment with both local and group standards. In this role, you report disciplinarily to the Finance Manager GBA and functionally to the Financial Reporting & Compliance Manager in the UK.
Your tasks:
GBA Financial Reporting & Compliance
* Lead the preparation and submission of financial statements and coordinate year-end audits
* Manage balance sheet reconciliations, documentation, and variance analysis
* Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes across the GBA region
* Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and local GAAP
* Implement and monitor internal controls and accounting policies in line with Group guidelines
GBA Tax Reporting & Compliance
* Oversee corporate income tax calculations, filings, and accruals
* Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation in accordance with OECD and local standards
* Support the implementation of transfer pricing policies and cost allocation methods
* Review VAT declarations across the GBA region
* Monitor changes in tax legislation and contribute to internal policy development
* Manage and support tax audits and inquiries
Additional Responsibilities
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes with a focus on tax implications
* Deliver internal training on accounting and tax topics
* Collaborate with EMEA finance and tax teams on regional initiatives
* Handle ad-hoc tax and compliance-related requests
Your profile:
* University degree in finance, accounting, taxation, or law
* German Tax Advisor certification is a plus
* Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience
* Knowledge of tax regulations in Austria, Netherlands, and Belgium is an asset
* Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
* Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills
* Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft 365)
* Independent, structured, and team-oriented working style
