Job Summary:
To strengthen our testing laboratory, we are looking for a Team Lead for Environmental and Reliability Testing. In this role, you will take technical and organizational responsibility for a team of test engineers and technicians, ensuring that environmental and reliability tests are carried out efficiently, in full compliance with applicable standards, and at the highest quality level.
You will work closely with customers, development teams, and internal stakeholders, contributing significantly to ensuring product reliability, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Your Responsibilities
1. Provide technical and organizational leadership for the environmental and reliability testing team
2. Plan, coordinate, and perform environmental and reliability tests in accordance with relevant standards (e.g. DIN EN, IEC, MIL-STD, ISO)
3. Conduct and evaluate mechanical tests, including shock, vibration, and drop testing
4. Perform climatic tests, such as temperature cycling and humidity testing, as well as IP tests for water and dust protection
5. Ensure the efficient operation and availability of environmental test systems, climate chambers, and other laboratory equipment
6. Analyze and evaluate test results, including the review and approval of test reports
7. Evaluate and calculate measurement uncertainties and develop and maintain measurement uncertainty budgets
8. Support customers and development teams in interpreting and assessing test results
9. Drive the continuous improvement of testing methods, processes, and laboratory infrastructure
10. Contribute to maintaining and further developing the laboratory accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025)
11. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
Your Profile
12. Degree or technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Environmental Engineering, or a comparable field
13. Several years of experience in environmental, climatic, or reliability testing
14. Ideally some experience in technical leadership or coordination of employees or project teams
15. Knowledge of relevant testing standards (e.g. IEC 60068-x, MIL-STD-810)
16. Experience with measurement and testing equipment and technical documentation
17. Knowledge of measurement uncertainty evaluation and calculation is an advantage
18. Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
19. Good German and English language skills
20. Strong communication skills, team orientation, and sense of responsibility
