Job Description
About the Role
As Head of Strategy & Finance, you play a central role in shaping the future of c-trace. You act as a strategic and financial sparring partner to the Managing Director and work closely with relevant parts of TOMRA. You will be a key member of the leadership team.
This role is ideal for an proactive all-rounder who combines strategic thinking with strong financial expertise, understands technology-driven business models, and enjoys driving decisions in a growing and changing organization.
Designed as an onsite role, this position requires regular presence at our location in Bielefeld.
Your Impact
1. Lead company strategy processes, in particular long-term strategic planning, the annual budgeting process, and other deep-dive projects to ensure sound strategy execution and operational excellence.
2. Drive key strategic growth initiatives, such as M&A and partnership opportunities.
3. Develop business cases and decision-making documentation for investments and growth initiatives.
4. Oversee finance and business process management, ensuring accurate reporting and insightful analysis.
5. Present financial performance (actuals, forecasts, budgets, KPIs) and advise management on financial matters.
6. Partner closely with Sales and Technology teams to calculate project, product, and software development costs, assess margins and profitability, and support investment and pricing decisions.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience:
7. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s preferred).
8. Minimum 7 years’ experience across a relevant combination of consulting, strategy, corporate finance, controlling and/or business development with a strong background in software or technology companies.
9. Experience working in technology-driven, project-based and fast-moving environments.
Skills & Competencies:
10. Strong business acumen and analytical mindset.
11. Excellent understanding of B2B business models, with experience in SaaS and software‑based models considered a strong plus.
12. Experience in financial analysis.
13. Leadership experience with the ability to develop and coach teams and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
14. Excellent communication skills in English and German.
