Prospective start date: 1 January 2026 Your role:
Participation in the DZHK site project “Somatic mutations in cardiovascular disease.”
Analysis of cellular heterogeneity in various tissues, focusing on inflammatory changes in cardiovascular diseases, particularly atherosclerosis, ischemic heart failure, heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, and clonal hematopoiesis.
Establishment and planning of sorting strategies for different cell types in heart, blood, and bone marrow.
Planning, execution, and analysis of single-cell sequencing studies and multiomics screens of various inflammatory cell types in cardiovascular disease models.
Testing of new therapeutic approaches in experimental disease models.
Development and advancement of disease models, with a focus on modeling somatic mutations in blood cells in mouse models.
Publication of scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Participation in national and international conferences and collaboration in research networks.
Laboratory management and general organizational tasks
General and Technical Requirements:
Completed university degree (Master’s) in Biochemistry, Molecular, Cellular, or Medical Biology, or Medicine.
Excellent knowledge of physiology.
Organizational and team skills, flexibility, openness, and strong communication skills.
Basic bioinformatics knowledge and experience with single-cell sequencing analyses.
FELASA certificate.
Basic immunology knowledge and experience with FACS analyses.
