Job Description
1. ■As part of the sales team for the rail division in the DACH region, you will collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager Europe, Regional Segment Managers, technical experts, and project managers.
2. ■Your work will involve actively engaging with customers in areas such as Rolling Stock, ERTMS, Signaling, Infrastructure & Energy for OEMs, suppliers, operators, authorities, etc.
3. ■Your responsibility will include identifying, developing, and closing opportunities with customer accounts in the rail sector in the DACH region.
4. ■You will be responsible for maintaining and further expanding existing customer relationships (OEMs, operators, integrators, authorities, etc.).
5. ■Handling returning customers will also be part of your duties.
6. ■Assisting with tenders and preparing quotations, as well as negotiating contracts, will be key tasks.
7. ■Your tasks will also include preparing market and competition analyses and developing strategic sales approaches.
8. ■You will keep an eye on the railway sector and identify future potential in terms of new technologies, new services, and state-of-the-art technical solutions.
9. ■In your role, you will utilize and analyze Salesforce to manage opportunities while fostering strong customer relationships and identifying growth potential.
Experience & Further Qualifications
10. ■Completed university degree (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, transport engineering or comparable)
11. ■Minimum 5 years of experience in the sales of technical services in the railway sector or, ideally, in rail TIC environment
12. ■In-depth knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Rolling stock, European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS), Signaling, Functional Safety / ISA, Railway Infrastructure or Energy Supply
13. ■Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
14. ■Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems, with solid knowledge of pipeline management and sales processes would be an advantage
15. ■Intrepreneurial thinking and structured approach to work
16. ■Very good written and spoken German and English and willingness to travel
