About Your Future Role: As an Internal Auditor for Anti-Money Laundering (AML), you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of AML frameworks across the organization. Based in Frankfurt, you will be responsible for evaluating internal controls, identifying compliance gaps, and supporting regulatory alignment in accordance with German and European AML regulations. Position: Internal Auditor - Anti-Money Laundering (all genders) Location: Frankfurt (hybrid) Estimated Salary: €75.000-€95.000 base 10% guaranteed bonus Working Hours: 40 hours/week Languages: Fluent German & English (C1) Main Responsibilities: Plan and execute AML-related audits within the internal audit framework. Assess the design and effectiveness of controls related to financial crime compliance (FCC), with a focus on AML and counter-terrorist financing (CTF). Identify risk areas and compliance gaps; provide recommendations for improvement. Prepare detailed audit reports for senior management and regulatory bodies. Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and compliance remediation efforts. Stay up to date on relevant regulatory developments (e.g., GwG, 6AMLD, BaFin guidance). Required Qualifications: Professional experience in internal auditing, compliance, or risk management within the financial services sector, with a strong focus on AML. Familiarity with German and European AML regulations and industry standards. Prior exposure to regulatory inspections or external audits is a plus. Certifications such as CFE, CAMS, or CIA are advantageous.
