As Head (f/m/d) of the Parent Seed Department, you will take on a key role in organizing and ensuring the production of base and trial seed for maize.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Einbeck.
Aufgaben
Your Responsibilities:
In this position, you will lead an interdisciplinary team and take on the following tasks:
* Management and further development of an interdisciplinary team in a matrix organization.
* Organize and ensure the production of base, pre-basic, and trial seed for maize.
* Coordinate line research, maintenance breeding, and registration processes.
* Collaborate closely with maize breeders and maize production teams to ensure smooth information and material flow.
* Take on project responsibilities in day-to-day operations.
Profil
Your Profile:
* Completed university degree (Master or PhD) in Agricultural Sciences, Plant Breeding, or a comparable field.
* Several years of professional experience in seed production or breeding, ideally in maize.
* Leadership experience in international, interdisciplinary teams.
* Strong communication and coordination skills.
* Very good English language knowledge is a mandatory for this position. Good knowledge of German language or the willingness to learn German is pre-required. Knowledge of French or Spanish language is a big plus.
* Willingness to travel approx. 30–40%.
