Description We are seeking a motivated working student or intern to contribute to the development of next-generation quantum sensing hardware. Your tasks will include supporting the design, assembly, and characterisation of optoelectronic and mechanical components used in our high-performance microscopy systems. You will also be involved in experimental measurements with our device to image functional activity in advanced integrated circuits, helping to evaluate performance and resolve device-level behaviours. Together, we aim to revolutionize semiconductor manufacturing and beyond What will you do Assemble and test hardware components, including optical and mechanical subsystems Support lab measurements with our quantum sensing microscope on advanced integrated circuits Assist with lab logistics, inventory management, and procurement tracking Document test procedures, setups, and experimental results Collaborate with team members to improve prototypes and experimental setups Contribute to maintaining an organised and efficient lab environment What is expected of you We’re looking for someone with a background in physics, electrical engineering, optics, or a related field who enjoys hands-on work in a lab setting. Familiarity with imaging systems, sensor technologies, or data analysis is a strong plus. You should be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to take on technical challenges. Most importantly, you are curious and collaborative, and bring a structured working style to help us push the boundaries of quantum sensing technology.
