Site HSE Manager / HSE Coordinator – Onshore Wind Farm Construction Projects (Germany)
Location: Germany (Multiple Project Locations Available)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Rotation: 3 Weeks On / 1 Week Off
Rate: €625 - €650 per day (inclusive of travel and accommodation)

Spencer Ogden is currently seeking experienced HSE professionals to support large-scale onshore wind farm construction projects across Germany.
This is a site-based role offering the opportunity to work on major renewable energy developments, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout the construction and installation phases of Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all Health, Safety, and Environmental activities on active onshore wind farm construction sites.
* Support WTG installation, commissioning, and construction activities, ensuring safe execution of all works.
* Promote a proactive safety culture across all project teams and contractors.
* Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
* Manage and oversee Permit-to-Work systems.
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, implementing effective corrective actions.
* Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions.
* Monitor compliance with local legislation, project requirements, and company standards.
* Support contractor management and stakeholder engagement activities.
* Provide regular HSE reporting and performance updates to project management teams.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Site HSE Manager, HSE Coordinator, or similar position within the wind energy, construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy sectors.
* Previous onshore wind farm experience is essential.
* Hands-on experience supporting Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) installation, erection, commissioning, or major component exchange activities.
* Strong understanding of construction site safety management.
* Experience reviewing RAMS and managing Permit-to-Work systems.
* Demonstrable incident investigation experience.
* Knowledge of high-risk activities, including:
* Working at Height (100m+)
* Lifting and Crane Operations
* WTG Installation Activities
* Heavy Construction and Civil Works
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work effectively in multicultural project environments.
* Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).
* Comfortable working at height when required.
* GWO certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if required.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will combine strong technical HSE knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach to site safety. You will have direct experience working on onshore wind farm projects and be comfortable supporting WTG erection and installation activities while engaging with contractors, challenging unsafe behaviours, and driving continuous improvement across complex construction environments.
