For our site inSchkeuditz (close to Leipzig/Saxony) we are looking for aSimulator Technician (m/f/d)Key Responsibilities:Responsible for maintaining and supporting flight simulators and associated systems to ensure safe and efficient training operations. Key duties include:
1. Troubleshoot and resolve simulator system issues
2. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and system checks (pre-/post-flight, QTG runs)
3. Record activities in the Maintenance Management System
4. Support visual system tasks, hardware upgrades, and refurbishments
5. Handle basic logistics, parts management, and testing
6. Provide timely customer support and maintain simulator readiness
7. Ensure compliance with CAE policies, safety standards, and aviation regulations
Requirements:
8. Technical degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Aviation, with initial professional experience
9. EU work authorization and strong English skills, very good German skills would be an advantage
10. Basic knowledge of aviation systems, simulation technology, and aircraft terminology
11. Ability to read technical documentation and perform troubleshooting using test equipment and software tools
12. Understanding of analog/digital principles, IT systems, and operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux)
13. Familiarity with MS Office
14. Knowledge of aviation regulations (EASA) and Health & Safety standards
15. Proactive, motivated team player with strong customer focus
16. Able to work independently and in flexible shift schedules (24/7)
