A Berlin-based cultural impact organization working across storytelling, games, film, and media is seeking an experienced Managing Director to take full operational leadership.
Following a period of significant growth, the organization is transitioning from founder-led operations to structured executive management. This is a hands-on role for a senior operator who can bring clarity, accountability, and reliable execution to a creative, mission-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Take full operational responsibility for the organization
* Lead hiring, performance management, and team development
* Manage approximately 7 direct reports within a 17-person team
* Oversee production pipelines across media and game projects
* Own budget execution and financial oversight
* Implement systems, workflows, and operational structures
* Translate strategy into actionable plans
REQUIREMENTS
* Senior operational leadership experience (Managing Director, COO, Head of Operations, or similar)
* Proven experience in media, entertainment, or game production
* Experience managing creative production pipelines
* Strong people leadership and performance management skills
* Budget ownership and financial literacy
* Experience scaling small-to-mid-size teams
* Based in Germany with regular presence in the Berlin region
* Fluent English
