About the Role
The role ensures compliance with Essity’s Trade Compliance program, regulations and controls, by overseeing and managing all import/export day-to-day operations for the Medical division.
Whatyou will do
1. Responsible for implementation of Essity’s Trade Compliance program within the Medical division.
2. ResponsiblefortradecompliancewithCustomsandrelevantregulatoryagencies.
3. PartnerwithcorporatefunctionssuchasLegal, Finance, Tax, Sourcingand Supply Chaintoensurealignmentofsupplychainandbusinesscompliancewithregulatoryrequirementsandidentifiesandsuggestsopportunitiestoreduceduty-impact (manufacturingfootprint, intl. sourcing-strategies, duty optimization)
4. ManageperformanceandprovideoversightofEssity’scustomsbrokers, includingperformanceKPI’s, contractandfeenegotiations.
5. Managepostdeclarationreviewsandimplementmitigationorcorrectiveactions, asrequired.
6. Responsibleforimplementingprocedurestoprevent, identify, correctandmitigaterisktoEssity’simport/exportoperationsbyconductingrisk-basedassessmentsinaccordancewithcompanyprocedures.
7. Coordinateandcommunicate Supply ChainSecurityrequirementstoparticipatingsites. Managethecontentoftheannualcertificationprocess (AEO, CTPAT) andCustomsrevalidations.
8. Coordinateandsupportanyinternal, externalandgovernmentcompliancedisclosure, inspection, investigation, assessment, andauditasrequiredandrespondtoapplicablerequests.
9. Establishtrainingrequirementsandconducttrainingforrelevantpersonnel.
10. Maintainup-to-dateknowledgeofglobaltradepolicies, regulations, nationalandinternationalguidelines, andindustrystandardsandassurescompliancewithfederal, localandcorporatepolicies, regulations, andlaws.

11. University degree in relevant fieldofstudyorequivalentpracticalworkexperiencerequired.
12. Strong English skills
13. Customs Broker Licenseorequivalentcredentialsrequired
14. 5+ years’ experienceworking in Trade Compliance
15. Experience leadingothersishighlypreferred
16. Ability tointerpretcomplexregulationsand translatethemtoapplicablebusinessprocedures
17. Experience workingcross-culturallywith global teams
18. Able tolead in an environmentwithambiguity and changewithoutdirectleadership
