As the EMEA Logistics & Customs Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of logistics and customs operations across the EUSA region (Europe, Middle East, South America). Your mission is to optimize logistics spend, streamline inbound and outbound processes, and ensure all transportation solutions are effective, compliant, and cost-efficient.
Your tasks.
* Logistics Optimization: Optimize inbound and outbound logistics flows through smart routing, load consolidation, and network design, improving lead times while reducing costs.
* Transportation & Customs Procurement: Manage tenders and negotiate contracts with transport carriers and customs brokers to secure competitive rates and high-quality service.
* Trade Compliance: Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations and customs procedures, maintaining smooth customs clearance and minimizing the risk of delays or penalties.
* Digital Transformation & KPI Monitoring: Implement advanced tools (e.g., Transportation Management Systems and data analytics) for greater visibility and control. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators – such as On-Time Delivery (OTD) rates, freight cost per unit, and customs clearance times – to drive continuous, data-driven improvement.
* Risk Management & Contingency Planning: Anticipate and mitigate logistics risks by developing robust contingency plans and ensuring supply chain resilience.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Purchasing, Planning, Production, Sales, Finance) and manage relationships with external logistics providers and customs authorities.
Your profile.
* Experience: 7+ years of experience managing logistics and customs operations in an international automotive, preferable wiring systems industry.
* Expertise: Strong knowledge of international customs regulations, trade compliance, and global transportation (road, sea, air) logistics.
* Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with ERP systems, Transportation Management Systems, and data analytics tools to drive insights.
* Leadership & Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and project management capabilities, with outstanding communication and influencing skills. A proactive, analytical problem-solver who can collaborate across teams and drive continuous improvement.
* Language: Fluent English proficiency (written and spoken). Knowledge of Polish, German, Serbian or French is a plus.
* Other: readiness to travel min. 40% of time.
