Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany.


Hauptaufgaben

Plans, organizes and coordinates the activities of the USAG Bavaria, DPW Housing Division FMO Warehouse, to include receipt, storage, issue, control, inventory and disposal of all furnishings and furniture items. Assigns and reviews the work of lower grade Supply Technicians engaged in documentary control, receipt, storage and issue of furnishings and furniture based on priorities and deadlines established considering skills of employees and difficulty of task. Maintains and monitors the enterprise Military Housing (eMH) database. Revises work schedule to meet changes in workload, considering factors such as peak workloads, availability of manpower and processing time requirements. Coordinates directly with the CFMO F&E Section to reconcile furnishings and equipment issue, turn-in, scheduling and transportation problems as required, for both routine and emergency pickups and deliveries. Prepares workload and production reports responsible for Storage and Distribution Section employees, provides training and guidance for efficient receipt, warehousing documentary control, stock selection and issue of furniture, furnishings and equipment. Establishes and maintains warehouse layout and space utilization plans for the CFMO warehouse. Develops regulatory inventory control procedures and item handling standards IAW applicable regulations. Exercises technical control of and provides guidance in the receipt, storage and distribution of furniture in the AFH and UPH warehouses. Investigates discrepancies and resolves critical supply situations. Participates in the development and implementation of local procedures and techniques for efficient and cooperated receipt, warehousing, documentary control stock data to determine the need for a change in warehousing methods and procedures. Advises warehousing personnel in ways to resolve problems and to plan for anticipated changes.
Within the USAG Bavaria provides direct furnishings support to approximately 7200 eligible sponsors residing in government quarters, economy quarters, and to approximately 100 Barracks buildings (approx. 6500 bed spaces) for Grafenwoehr, Vilseck, Hohenfels and Garmisch. Additionally, provides both, UPH and AFH furnishings support to soldiers and family members of nine NATO Eastern European countries. Personally participates in the different work phase required in conjunction with furnishings support: receipt, classification, storage, issue, turn-in, direct exchange, inventory control, control, and maintenance & repair of furnishings and equipment. Checks issue requests, stock number changes, etc. Independently schedules and coordinates the required annual flow of approximately 400 line items into and out of CIVIC facilities for, recovering or repair. Independently coordinates with DRMO for the turn-in of unserviceable scrap and unserviceable, uneconomically replaceable furnishings items involving approximately 4200 items per year. Designated IMCOM-E representative to classify AFH/UPH furniture and appliances to authorized disposal. Prepares recurring and special reports in narrative or statistical form, based upon physical inventory results. Provides CFMO troop unit customers with assistance in property classification, inventory, identification, ownership, assignment of stock numbers, correct nomenclature and appropriate supply transaction guidance.

Performs other duties as assigned.

C-05:
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.

Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.

E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 1 year of experience as defined in B below.

E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required.

Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.

Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.

Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled.

C-5A:
E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 2 years of experience as defined in B below.

Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.

E&T Level II: 1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 2 years of experience as defined in B below. E&T Level II: 1 Jahr anrechenbare Erfahrung wie beschrieben unter A, PLUS 2 Jahre wie beschrieben unter B.

E&T Level IV: No additional experience required.

Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.

Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.

Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years.

• German driver's license class B required.
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a military driver's license.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:

English Language Proficiency level B2 AND German Language Proficiency level C1 required.

Beschäftigungsbedingungen

• These are 2 permanent full-time positions 38.5 hrs./week.

• Forklift operator's license is required.

• The incumbent of this position is occasionally required to perform TDY (Temporary Duty Travel).

• Position may be filled at the C-05 or at the full performance level, C-5A. The incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next higher or full performance level in accordance with regulatory requirements, upon completion of required training, and recommendation of supervisor.
