Angestellter (Frachtverkehr) Kaiserslautern, Germany Ausschreibungsbereich WHO MAY APPLY? Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany. Hauptaufgaben Responsible for the accountability and accuracy of each customer's shipment order. Takes positive control of all medical material that is packed prepared for delivery, ensuring accurate documentation of each item in the system, including updating the system of record or scanning barcodes. Maintains a precise record of quantities and conditions of outgoing supplies, collaborate with the warehouse supervisor to reconcile any discrepancies. Each shipment must be complete and contain all items ordered by a particular customer for each order cycle. Compares materiel on hand with shipping documents to ensure the right materiel is shipped to the right customer. Communicate effectively with internal teams, including inventory control, procurement, and customer service. Coordinate with drivers and delivery personnel to ensure smooth handover of shipments, provide timely updates on shipment status and any delays May be required to electronically in-checking and out-checking materials by scanning, print Packing List(s), and coordinate with other employees in the Transportation Division to create Truck Manifest(s) and/or Commercial Bills of Lading (CBLs) reflecting outgoing materiel. Conducts a joint inventory with the driver ensuring all materiel is accounted for and properly signed over, paying special attention to the proper handling and shipping of vault, optical, registered mail, and refrigerated items. Prepares-shipments for movement by Air Mobility Command (AMC), International Air (IATA) and Ground Movement (ADR) requiring special knowledge of Air Force, IATA, and ADR standards for palletized shipments. Uses necessary block/brace materials to secure loads. Correctly builds, marks, and accounts for pallets in accordance with applicable standards. Ensure properly packed medical supplies and equipment are safe for transport via all modes of transportation. Verify that items are correctly labeled and securely packaged, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling fragile or hazardous materials. Coordinate with the inbound team to ensure timely availability of items for outbound shipments. Motor Vehicle Operator/Carrier and ADR License operator. Carrier duties includes inventorying LOGPAK prepared for delivery to routine local customers within 4 hours driving distance (one-way). The incumbent must poses and be able to obtain a government vehicle operator permit up to 4 Ton capacity truck with or without loading gate. Tapes, staples, bands or wraps containers to preclude pilferage and secure the materiel. Stencils, labels or marks containers in accordance with supervisor's guidance and standard procedures. Conduct visual inspections of outbound shipments to verify accuracy and quality, address any damaged or missing items promptly. Report any discrepancies or issues to warehouse supervisor. Prepares loads both physically and electronically in accordance with the delivery schedule. Delivers materiel and equipment to various customers, picks up return materiel and equipment as needed. Conducts 100% inventory, signs for returned items, and delivers materiel to its final destination according with the delivery plan. Ensures that the customer signs for and visually inspects all deliverables. CONTROLLED ITEMS must be delivered to and signed for by the authorized customer as listed on the shipping documents or prior approval by the traffic manager must be requested and received. Prepare shipments according to delivery schedules and customers requirements, generating shipping labels, waybills, and other necessary documentation. Collaborate with couriers and transportation providers to arrange pickups, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and safety guidance. Must load various types of transport vehicles from a small automobile up to a 40ft semi- trailer safely and properly. Sequentially loads trailers for multiple stop deliveries. Ensures loads are properly secured and protected from adverse weather. Efficiently loads all materiel to avoid unnecessary demurrage charges or delays and to meet the shipping schedule directly affecting customer satisfaction. Provide escort/sign-in trucks to and from the main entrance of the installation to USAMMCE if intended for receiving or dropping off material to warehouse. Adhere to safety protocols while handling medical supplies maintain a clean and organized work area, report any safety hazards or incidents promptly while safeguarding sensitive information related to medical supplies. Operates up to 10,000 lbs capacity (approx. 4.5 tons/4,500 Kg) forklift (electric and diesel) to load trucks or warehouse materiel. Must know how to safely and properly operate electric escort vehicles, the banding machine, weight and cube machine, pallet wrapping machine, electric pallet dollies and motorized stock selectors. Performs operator level maintenance on all assigned equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below. E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below. E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required. Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade. Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc. • Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B and forklift Operators license. • Office automation skills are required. LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL: English Language Proficiency level B2 AND German Language Proficiency level B1 required.
