The National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity ATHENE is a research institution of the Fraunhofer Society with the participation of the Fraunhofer Institutes SIT and IGD as well as the Technical University of Darmstadt and Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. We are looking for motivated employees with in-depth knowledge of IT security to strengthen our Testlab Mobile Security department. We offer training in the field of secure application development for Apple's iOS operating system. The particular challenge here is the reverse engineering of applications that are already in productive use.
We have two main areas of focus in the field of iOS. The first is systematic vulnerability analysis in the context of industrial projects. The second is the development of automated analyses for the Appicator analysis framework. In both areas, we need support from motivated employees who want to contribute their own ideas and work with us to research new methods.
What you contribute
* You have a university degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field. You also have excellent knowledge of IT security, especially mobile security.
* You already have knowledge of software development for Apple iOS devices or are interested in learning about it.
* You are also well versed in reverse engineering.
* You are fluent in written and spoken German and English.
* Last but not least, you are interested in challenging scientific problems in theory and practice.

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
