Duties Description Under the supervision of higher-level personnel, the Park Worker 3 may be engaged in the performance or coordination of, but not limited to, the following tasks and activities as described:
•Interfaces with park employees and patrons regarding informational questions, resolving complaints and concerns pertaining to park and golf operations.
•Assists in the daily operation of the park's reservation systems (ForeUp & Reserve America)
•Monitors Park emails and responds promptly to customer issues and questions.
•Assists in the preparation and operations of golf outings (large and small), special events on course, polo events and picnic events.
•Assist in conducting inspections of the clubhouse, playgrounds, sports and polo fields, and golf course areas, ensuring they are clean and safe.
•Assists in supervising, training, and scheduling lower-level permanent staff, in addition to seasonal and volunteer staff.
•Assists with clubhouse and picnic grounds maintenance, sometimes supervising seasonal staff in doing so.
•Performs other related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications One year of experience in the operation and/or maintenance of a park, historic site, golf course, or recreational facility;
OR - One year of experience in any of the following fields:
•Law enforcement or security
•Firefighting
•Emergency Medical Services
•Environmental education or stewardship
•Natural resources management (., forest management, wildlife management/preservation)
•Historic preservation or interpretation
•Landscaping or grounds maintenance
OR - One year of military service in any branch of the United States Armed Forces;
OR - Thirty (30) semester credit hours of college-level coursework from an accredited* college or university;
OR - Completion of a two-year technical/trades school program;
OR - Two years of experience as a trade assistant working under the direct supervision of a skilled tradesperson
*Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the. Department of Education/.
